Gate City Brewing Company

Gate City Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Historic Downtown Roswell, where it opened in 2015 as the city’s first craft brewery. Founded by homebrewers Pat Rains and Brian Borngesser, Gate City grew from recipes developed in their garages into a 30-barrel brewhouse and taproom housed in two former mechanic shops. The two-story brewery includes a roughly 3,000-square-foot taproom with as many as 20 house-brewed beers on draft, giving visitors a broad look at its production. The adjoining Artillery Room expands the experience with draft cocktails, loft seating, and an outdoor terrace connected to the brewery compound. Its downtown setting, sizable brewing operation, and combination of beer and cocktail spaces make Gate City a distinctive stop in Roswell’s craft beverage scene.
