Mutation Brewing

Mutation Brewing is a Sandy Springs brewery built around experimentation and a frequently changing beer lineup. The business grew from a garage homebrewing project started by Chris Shapiro, Leslie Shapiro, Mikey Shapiro, and Jack Poole, who later expanded their brewing system and turned the hobby into a commercial operation. Its approach emphasizes variety rather than a narrow house style, with beers spanning lagers, IPAs, sours, stouts, saisons, and other rotating styles. The Sandy Springs location includes several distinct spaces, including a main taproom, speakeasy taproom, rooftop bar, outdoor patio, and private dining room. Visitors can also order cocktails and hard seltzers alongside the beer, while Scoville Hot Chicken provides the on-site food menu.
