River Remedy Brewing Co. is a small brewery and taproom in historic downtown Rome, founded by a group of local residents with a strong community-service focus. A portion of proceeds from every pint supports nonprofit organizations serving Northwest Georgia, making charitable giving a built-in part of the brewery’s concept. Its beer program centers on six core taps backed by rotating releases that range from lagers and IPAs to darker ales and sours. The taproom also offers house-made seltzers and nonalcoholic options. Food is available on site through a partnership with John Henry’s Downtown Bites & Brews, rather than an in-house kitchen. River Remedy is family friendly, and leashed dogs are welcome on the patio, giving visitors a casual downtown stop that combines locally brewed beer, food, and a clear connection to the Rome community.
