52 West Brewing

52 West Brewing is a small-batch craft brewery in Dahlonega, set among the wineries and mountain scenery of North Georgia. Owners David Burns and Samantha Couzens developed the brewery around a “Farm to Pint” concept, building it on the property where they live and incorporating hops, fruit and farm animals into the setting. The brewery operates a five-barrel system and produces a range of styles, including IPAs, lagers, wheat ales, fruit-forward beers and darker ales, with some ingredients sourced locally. Visitors will also find the brewery’s Highland cattle, Fergus and Hamish, on the property. Food is centered on brewery snacks such as pretzels, chips and charcuterie, supplemented by visiting food trucks. The combination of small-scale brewing and a rural North Georgia setting gives 52 West an experience notably different from a conventional downtown taproom.
