Linder Street Brewing

Linder Street Brewing is a small, veteran-owned microbrewery in Bowersville, a rural Northeast Georgia town near the Hartwell area. Its brewery and tasting room occupy a brick church building constructed in the 1960s, giving the taproom a setting unlike a typical commercial brewery space. Beer is brewed on site in small batches using all-grain methods, with locally sourced ingredients incorporated when available. The brewery emphasizes straightforward recipes built around grain, hops, yeast, and water rather than malt syrups or artificial flavorings. Founder and brewer Tony Smith developed an interest in craft beer while serving aboard the USS Florida in Washington state in 1990, later turning homebrewing into a professional pursuit. Visitors can expect a compact, brewing-focused taproom centered on Linder Street’s own beers.
