Awkward Brewing

Awkward Brewing is a small craft brewery in downtown Fayetteville with roots that stretch back to a homebrewing project begun by founder Amanda in 2008 and a brewery launched in Lake Stevens, Washington, in 2015. The operation relocated to Georgia and opened in Fayetteville in 2021, with regular taproom hours beginning in 2022. Its identity leans into a playful science theme, reflected in both the brewery’s branding and its four ingredient-inspired mascots. The indoor taproom is intentionally compact, while a backyard area adds picnic tables, lawn games, and additional space outdoors. The brewery is both pet- and child-friendly, and food trucks provide dining options. Its central Fayetteville location also places it near Trilith Studios and the U.S. Soccer National Training Center.
