Georgia Beer Co. is a brewery and taproom in downtown Valdosta, where it opened in 2019 as the city’s first brewery. Founders Chris Jones and Jack “J. Ryce” Martin began developing the business and brewing in a garage in 2014 before moving into a restored former city waterworks building. The brewery generally works within traditional beer styles while incorporating Georgia-grown ingredients when available, producing a range that includes ales, lagers, IPAs, and stouts. The taproom is family-friendly and includes games, while leashed dogs are permitted in the outdoor beer garden. There is no kitchen, but visitors may bring their own food, order from nearby restaurants, or purchase from food trucks when available.
