Sceptre Brewing Arts

Sceptre Brewing Arts is a craft brewery and beer garden in Decatur’s Oakhurst neighborhood, opened in 2019 by members of the team behind East Atlanta’s Pub, Argosy. Its brewing program leans toward American-style beers and places unusual emphasis on locally sourced ingredients; Sceptre is recognized as Georgia’s first Craft Malt certified brewpub and uses 100 percent local malt. The brewery has produced everything from hop-forward ales and stouts to sours and other small-batch styles. Food is handled through rotating chef pop-ups rather than a permanent in-house kitchen, giving repeat visits a changing culinary component. The taproom is joined by a sizable patio and beer garden with screens and a projector, making Sceptre as much a neighborhood gathering place as a stop for locally focused beer.
