Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards

Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards is a full-service brewpub in downtown Decatur that combines on-site brewing, a scratch kitchen, and a large game-room atmosphere. Opened in 1995, Twain’s began as a beer bar and billiards hall before developing into a brewpub, and today it brews the beers served on draft in-house. Its brewing history also includes an early connection to Creature Comforts co-founder David Stein, who tested a version of Tropicalia IPA on Twain’s brewhouse. Beyond beer, the kitchen serves made-from-scratch pub food alongside a full cocktail program. Pool tables, darts, shuffleboard, and a four-season patio make Twain’s as much a social and recreational destination as a brewery. Visitors should note that the venue becomes 21-and-over after 9 p.m.
