Southern Hart Brewing Company

Southern Hart Brewing Company is a locally owned brewpub in downtown Hartwell, established in 2018 by Scott and Susanne Barfield. Scott Barfield handles the brewing, with a lineup that spans approachable lagers and wheat beers, multiple IPAs, a red ale, Kölsch, brown ale, and rotating seasonal releases. The brewery is closely integrated with Southern Hart Bar & Grill, so visitors can pair house-brewed beer with a full restaurant menu rather than relying on outside food. The taproom also offers a full bar and several large-screen TVs, giving it more of a neighborhood restaurant-and-pub atmosphere than a production-focused brewery. An upstairs private room is available for meetings, dinners, and other small gatherings, adding another option for groups visiting Hartwell.
