Sweetwater Brewing Company

SweetWater Brewing Company is a large Atlanta craft brewery founded in 1997 and based at its current Midtown production facility since 2004. Best known for 420 Extra Pale Ale, SweetWater built its identity around hop-forward American beer while expanding into a broad range of styles over the years. The brewery’s Atlanta campus includes a spacious taproom and patio, a full kitchen serving items such as pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and snacks, and brewery tours that provide a look at the production process. The property also includes The Woodlands, a dedicated barrel-aging and mixed-fermentation facility that reflects a more experimental side of SweetWater’s brewing program. With its combination of large-scale production, on-site food, tours, and extensive taproom space, SweetWater offers a different experience from Atlanta’s smaller neighborhood breweries.
