Local Ties Brewing Company

Local Ties Brewing Company is a family-owned, taproom-focused microbrewery in downtown Carrollton, just off Adamson Square. Opened in July 2022 by longtime Carrollton residents Alex and Tori Griffin, the brewery grew from Alex’s friendship with head brewer Justin Schellhorn, a longtime homebrewer he has known since middle school. The taproom is designed as a community gathering place, with indoor seating and a patio where leashed dogs are welcome. Families may visit, and beer flights and crowlers are available. Local Ties does not operate a kitchen beyond packaged snacks, but guests are welcome to bring food from nearby downtown restaurants. Its location within Carrollton’s open-container district also makes it easy to incorporate a brewery stop into a visit around Adamson Square.
